  • Profile: Ulster Historical Enterprises Ltd was established in 2006 as a trading subsidiary of Historical Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded in 1956 to promote and preserve Irish history and genealogy, with particular reference to the province of Ulster. Ulster Historical Enterprises Ltd, exists to promote and distribute publications produced by Ulster Historical Foundation. The Foundation publishes non-fiction work mainly on Irish history, specifically the northern province of Ulster, and produces research aids and guides to archival sources available for the study of Irish genealogy. Approximately 150 titles have been produced. The most ambitious title produced was History of the Irish Parliament 1692-1800, a six volume work published in 2002. More recently the Foundation has produced a best selling guide to tracing Irish ancestors who came from the province of Ulster. Entitled Researching Scots-Irish Ancestors, this book is essential reading for anyone searching for northern Irish ancestors.
