In 1989 Jayesh Thakker (son) joined the family business and changed the profile of the company to deal in electronics and fancy goods. With the support of blue chip companies like Casio, Sharp, Yamaha, and Texas Instruments, Jaytex became a key player in the distribution of electronics in the domestic and export market. In 1992, with the support knowledge and expertise of Casio, Sharp and Texas Instruments as well as the national curriculum board, Jaytex became a large player in the education sector.. Today we distribute to approx 35,000 schools, colleges and universities throughout the UK. In 2002 the company brought in Mina Parmar, whose expertise is in sourcing and distributing stationery products. In that year Jaytex registered their own brand "Jaytech", with the slogan "Pushing Technology Forward". The company now has 4 divisions: Education Sector. Importation of stationary and business products under Jaytech as well as OEM. Branded Watches, clothing and accessories. Exportation of consumer electronics and watches. Through constant innovation Jaytex has good business partnershipsin the UK and globally. The current turnover is in access of 5 Million pounds
